Valour FC's captain Raphael Ohin has signed with Treaty United in a transfer deal, marking a new chapter in his career. The 30-year-old midfielder had been with Valour FC for seven seasons, making him the club's all-time appearance leader with 108 games played. Ohin had been linked with a move to Europe, but instead has joined Treaty United, who will kick off their season opener against Cork City tomorrow. The club's head coach Tommy Barrett has praised Ohin's experience and technical ability, saying he will be a strong addition to the team. Ohin had been a core element for Valour FC, donning the captain's armband two years ago and featuring in all but two matches for what became Valour's final campaign. He was born in Accra, Ghana, and moved to Winnipeg in 2016, becoming a Canadian citizen in 2023.
